Get this one in Dec 2017 within 3 years couple small issues like noise etc. crompressor failed in summer 2021 lost all food since the technician was only available after more than a week. Compressor got replaced and it worked for another 2 years with couple issues like noise ice maker etc.. 2 months before ice maker stopped working and we got higher than normal electricity bill but never thought it was because of refrigerator. Half month ago the whole refrigerator stopped cooling. Could not get in touch with LG customer service because the indian accent guy replied me with extremely ignorant attitude didnt answer any of my questions and directly put me on hold for 45+ minutes. I had to get a local technician to check it and it was diagnosed as Freon leakage. Since it could be harmful to my kids I called LG again. Finally I got an appointment yesterday but it turned out that the refrigerator has high end leakage and no longer repairable. WILL NEVER GET ANY LG PRODUCT AGAIN AND SUGGESTED EVERYONE GET AWAY FROM IT. IT WILL NOT ONLY WASTE OF MONEY BUT ALSO POSSIBLY HURT YOUR FAMILY.

I bought this product 1.5 years ago. So far it works well and started giving me cooling issues for last 1 month. I have 2 years warranty so LG fixed the first cooling issue and it came back again and LG scheduled a service again. Hope they fix this issue permanently.

We have had continuous problems w the icemaker portion of the LG unit We were walked thru an on line fix 2 times replaced the unit once and still does not work as advertised. It made a dozen cubes once then nothing and we went thru your home fix too no good results. I bought this refrigerator about 5yrs ago and was disappointed that compressor had problems already and had to pay another 500+ dollars to fix the problem. My 23 year old another refrigerator still running without any issues. LG recommended repair man was not very good at all in keeping up with appointments.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My fridge had a freezer fan error and I had to work with LGs terrible customer service team to get it repaired since it was still under manufacturer warranty. The reps were rude and not accommodating in terms replacing food lost due to fridge going out. I had the absolute worst experience. There is no way a fridge should be having issues 8 months after purchasing. Never buying LG products again

We got this fridge 5 years ago. Here are the pros and cons of this fridge. Pros: Great size for a family of five. Freezer drawers at the bottom provides easy access on frozen items especially having 2 drawers instead of only 1 deep drawer. Cons: Ice makers started leaking water after 1 years so we stopped using it. Compressor went out this year 2023 right before Thanksgiving. The diagnosing tool on their LG app is useless because the fridge is completely broken and it still said no issue was detected. New fridge doesnt last as long as they are used to anymore.

Sometimes the water dispenser is cold sometimes lukewarm. Called service extended warranty from Good Guys told me this is normal in a very condescending way and left me unsatisfied. Other time I tried to solve the problem I had with the freezer not freezing at all and the response from the chat I had left me no choice but call another random service and ended up changing the compressor after just 2 TWO years since I purchased the fridge. Totally disappointing. Spent $1400.

So funny that you are sending this Right ON the appliance it says it had a 10 YEAR WARRANTY on the compressor. Well the compressor went out and I spent MONTHS fighting with you to repair it or replace it and got no where. Your customer service doesnt speak appropriate English there literally are no parts even available We absolutely tell every one we know DO not purchase LG appliances So far we have replaced every single LG appliance that we bought in 2018

My fridge was only 2 years old and has had issues since I bought it with the ice maker. Came to realize that is was most likely because of the compressor which went out. Hired a company to identify the issue and paid them $100 because I couldnt LG out in a timely manner. I was hoping it was a simply fix. It was not. Took 6 weeks to get my refrigerator running. No compensation from LG for the lost food or the cost of the other repair company. The team that fixed the fridge were great. However one of my shelves was broken in the process. And no replacement has been made.

Will not stand behind their warranty

I bought the refrigerator 5 years ago 2/28/18. On 11/8/23 the compressor went out on the unit. LG claims to have a 10 year warranty on the compressor. So I called LG to have the compressor replaced under their 10 year warranty. They advised they would only cover the cost of the compressor but no labor or materials to have it installed. My service tech told me when they replace the compressor they must also replace the condenser and dryer and there are other parts associated with changing those. All in the repair was going to be $1500.00 out of pocket for a warranty item to be replaced. So I figured I would just have LG send me the compressor and I would sell the unit as is but with a new compressor in the box. Well LG then advised they will only send the compressor to an authorized service center and would not send me the compressor directly. the LG reps I spoke to barely spoke or understood English and I found them to be quite rude and unwilling to help with my situation. I will never buy another LG product and will discourage anyone I speak with to also not purchase their products. A warranty is worthless if the company offering it will not stand behind it.

DO NOT PURCHASE LG REFRIGERATORS. The linear compressors will last you about 2 years. Our fridge came new with the house and since I wasnt the original purchaser I have no proof of purchase. Therefore warranty wont pay for it. $1200 for a new compressor. Literally pick any other brand please.

We purchased this refridgerator 2.5 years ago. Within 1 month the ice maker quit operating. Now the machine does not cool fridge AND freezer. I called LG Service 3 times over the 3 week period it has not been operating.and did not get any relief. We lost over $300 of groceries and frozen goods. After 1 month the fridge gets more convenient every day freezer is my favorite part when i open the fridge i can see everything clearly the space inside and clear drawers make everything easy to access ice maker and fridge are quiet and the back does not get hot while against the wall this was a great investment and addition to my home would recommend it to everyone who is in the market for a new fridge

I purchased this fridge and several months later the fridge went completely dead. Its no longer working. I had to call an appliance repair man it was past warranty and now Im spending several hundred dollars trying to fix this. Very disappointing.

The fingerprint resistant finish is a sanity saver The unit is quiet and cools well. Great storage on the right door but limited space on the left side due to the icemaker. It makes ice quickly but I have to empty the bin into the freezer storage to be able to have enough ice to use in a day there is no ice maker in the freezer drawer which I wish was an option. The produce and deli drawers are roomy. I thought that the display on the front would show the actual fridge temp to know if it was working correctly but it only displays what the set temperature is. Living in an area where there are power outages due to hurricanes and severe weather it would be helpful to know the actual temperature of the interior for food safety. Seems useless really otherwise. I realize you cant have everything. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

14 months after purchase there was no power to refrigerator. Repair tech diagnosed a bad main board which was only covered for 12 months. Purchased new board still no power Then purchased circuit board at front and then one on top. 3 boards later plus service fee = total of $700 with no resolution.

I like the LG products overall and have their TV gas stove microwave and large french door refrigerator.This had been my first issue with my LG refrigerator which I purchased 4 years ago and the compressor being replaced under warranty.No issues to date with all other products. The Customer Service and support was very efficient professional and understanding of the personal impact the situation caused for available food. I also received a check as a stipend to cover most of the food loss. My positive experience has reinforced my loyalty to LG products and their firm postion in backing up their products.

I am extremely disappointed in the warranty. My refrig is about 5 years old and completely stopped cooling. I was told that the parts are covered for 10 years BUT I must use an LG repair person and that it will be $585 for him to come out. In additiona its another $30 or so to move the refrigerator if its in an incovenient location. What refrigerator isnt in an incovenient location The grand total for the free parts is $630. I see this is a money grab to recover the cost of the parts that are supposedly free. I am furious. Also the phone rep was so pushy that it was easier to schedule the appointment and then cancel it.

This replaced an LG refrigerator that was damaged during a storm. I basically bought the same unit but with two freezer drawers instead of one. Having trouble with this unit with the freezer drawers icing excessively along the tracks as well as condensation in the ice maker. Hopefully the issues get resolved soon so I can love this one as much as its predecessor.

After 6 years it needs a new compressor. LG know it is bad. LG will cover the part to fix it but You get to pay for labor. That will run you around 500.00 dollars. I am not happy with that. But the layout of the fridge is great.

I works well when it works. However the compressor failed after 5.8 years. LG honored its warranty on the compressor 10 yr. parts and it cost $575 instead of $1.250 to fix but it took a week to get them to our house a long time to go without a refrigerator. That is because we paid another service man to diagnose the problem first another cost. Otherwise we may have had to wait longer.

Have had this refrigerator for about two months now and the water and ice still have that bad taste to it. I have followed the manufacturers instructions about running 2.5 gallons through the system times 4 and emptied the ice bin times 4 but it still tastes bad. Its getting better but they need to change the instructions or fix the reason for the terrible taste. Water coming from my faucet is good.

Product is great but it stopped cooling the Refrigerator after an year with FF E code some fan stopped using cold air from freezer to Refrigerator and I called LG folks and they sent a service person after 10 days. We were without refrigerator in those 10 days. Very disappointed with warranty.

The is a terrible refrigerator. Has a faulty compressor that fails. Cost us over $500 in food. The LG app is worse than worthless it is dangerous. Even after a complete compressor failure it continued to tell me everything was fine. As someone told me if you buy and LG geet a second one from another brand so you have someplace to put your food when the LG fails. Further LG new of the issue and never notified us to have them look at it. Told everyone I know to stay away from LG.

We bought this refrigerator over two months ago. It was backordered a month because we wanted the black stainless. After we received it the installers stated that we should empty 2 gallons of water from the dispenser. We did so and the water still had a strange taste like chlorine. We emptied another twenty gallons and still the strange taste. We called Abt Appliance where we bought it and they shipped out another water filter. Still the same taste. we are currently waiting for a technician to come out and investigate the issue. Aside from the water issue we love the features this refrigerator has. The ice maker is built into the left door so it doesnt take any space away from the inside. We love the separated produce and fruit drawers. it also has a drawer for lunchmeat as well. We would give this refrigerator 5 stars if we didnt experience the water issue..
