What a fiasco!

Immediately after installation about a month ago, the flames had to be adjusted since on some of the burners the flames extinguished on the LOW setting. KitchenAid sent a technician who determined some of the valves will need to be replaced. Meanwhile, the stove started beeping spontaneously with no error message on the panel. The beeping occurred randomly throughout the day and the only way to stop them was to turn off the electrical circuit at the electrical panel to the stove. So we did not have an oven for Thanksgiving which was terribly disappointing. We are still waiting on a resolution. When we did use the over before the beepings had started, we noticed the cooling fan in the back was very loud and it ran during the baking period and for a long time afterwards. Really annoying. This was supposed to be the crown jewel of our newly remodeled kitchen replacing an old Kenmore Elite dual fuel appliance which worked flawlessly for 20 years. I am at a loss as to this situation. We like the look of this appliance and expected the best quality out of this brand as we invested in a matching refrigerator and a microwave oven, so this is disappointing. If this range worked as I would expect I would give it 5 stars. Given that it is sort of useless now, I rate it one star just for the great looks.

Several repairs in the first year

This range has been repaired at least 10 times in the first year. One was having to do with the simmer burner that was a design flaw that they finally that repaired. The electronics for the oven have quit working several times also and the last time right before Thanksgiving. They would not let the dealer repair because they said they would replace it and where to contact me within 48 hours. You get a recording and you can't reach a person and I've ruined so much food and trying to cook a Thanksgiving dinner with no control over the temperature of the oven. I'm at the point with the poor customer service and not having anything to cook with of getting a different brand and suing them if they won't give me a refund. I bought all new appliances for this home as I've done for my last two homes and appliances used to last indefinitely and I bought these expecting the same and expecting be able to get them repaired if needed

I have had this range for a little over a year now. I bought it to replace a duel fuel Jenn Air.
I hate say I am very disappointed in this oven. The fan runs continuously , its noisy and some recipes fail because they need the slow cool off(prime rib).
The self cleaning is terrible.
The placement of the top burners is bad as both the front burners are large so cooking something small is difficult since you must use a back burner.

This stove is not only gorgeous but works great. We had an issue with the fan, that was fixed immediately and it's been working great. It gives the appearance of a custom stove top but is one unit. Love the 6 burners. I do wish it had two timers.

Gas is consistent, even burn. Top oven is true to temp. Bottom oven drawer can stick, and isn't large enough for most cookie trays given handle of removable rack, wish this was wider. Overall very pleased and would recommend.

thought I was getting a warming oven but turns out it actually bakes. oven racks are very sturdy and have a pull out rack for easy food removal. didn't really need 5th burner but have already used it several times to grill. 2 large burners are in front making it easier to put large pots side by side. Flames are very intense for quick cooking. love the stainless steel range top. great big oven glass to view foods baking. very happy indeed.

Bought this unit in January 2016, when it was installed the control panel was bad. It took 18 days to get it working. June 2016, the control panel went out again and it took 21 days to get it repaired. September 2019, the control panel is out again. There is a design issue with this unit do not buy this unit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so thrilled with my new range! The convection oven is a dream. I was a little hesitant but I haven't experienced any cooking difference from my old electric oven. I can bake three trays of cookies at one time with all trays getting the same heat! Amazing! KitchenAid convection range all the way!!!

Have been using my new stove for the past two weeks. All the features of a much more expensive stove. Powerful gas range easy to use and adjust. Oven is spacious and bakes evenly. My second Kitchen Aid Dual Fuel. First one lasted 25 years without a service call. Only comment is uneven heating of griddle and no temperature probe in oven as in my first dual fuel.

We bought this oven to replace a 12 year old Dual Fuel JennAir. I like to cook and bake, so I was really looking forward to having a well functioning and easy to clean range. The problem with this range starts with a very heavy and clumsy grill which is difficult to lift for a 5'4" woman. The burners are positioned in reverse, in my opinion. Smaller and fast to bring a boil, should be in front. The way the burners work now in my modern kitchen, that they are destributing heat that radiates too far outside, heating the cabinets and the microwave above. It priced well, but as a customer, I feel that we are caught between very high priced appliances or something else, that we have to compromise with and get used to using it. The last thing I want to bring up is that the range has a lot of angles and connections that catch crumbs and dirt easily, but very difficult to clean. I use a toothbrush to get into small spaces!

I had high hopes this range would be the answer to my cooking needs. We've used it for six weeks and the interior lights have burned or shorted out. Adding to the problem, we can't unscrew the light covers to replace the lights. The covers will not unscrew. The place we bought the range from is sending someone next week to look at it. This is so frustrating to have a brand new range have these kinds of problems.

Well made and convertible to LP. Burners work fantastic, initially we were concerned about the conversion but after using the range our concerns about LP and range performance were unfounded. The oven capacity is ample. The convection oven will do the conversion for you, so no guess work is involved. Clean up on the surface has been really easy.

Beautiful stove/oven. I love the convert recipe to convection feature. The only reasons for not giving it 5 stars is that the panel on top for turning on the stove is annoying as we are always pressing it by accident.

We wanted a dual fuel stove. Our son-in-law recommended a KitchenAid stove. My wife wanted the controls in the front, and they only came with the slide in model. So that what we ordered, a dual fuel, slide in stove, not thinking of other features, and that is what we were expecting. When we had in installed, my wife loved the design, and found the controls easy to use, read and understand. Then we found a great surprise that we were not expecting. The second drawer, at first we thought that the second drawer was a lid storage, then my wife found what it really was. It did not Take long for my wife to put it to use. It works really great, we could not be happier!

If there is a problem, be prepared for extremely poor service. Our range was converted to propane and the left front burner does not work properly. The burner apparently was manufactured by an Italian company called Defendi, so perhaps Defendi is the root cause of the problem, but I purchase from KitchenAid and they provided the warranty, so KitchenAid needs to fix the problem. There is a choke or venturi that is needed to provide the correct fuel to air ratio for the left front burner and the venturi will not stay in the burner base. When it falls out you get a yellow tipped flame and soot all over your pan. We have had two "Authorized Service Providers" try to fix the problem. The first gave up and said they could not fix the problem. The second authorized service provider tried, but has not solved the issue. The latest proposed fix is to change the gas valve which is absolutely not going to fix the problem with the venturi falling out of the burner base. So, as it stands now, the wrong part is on back order and I have a stove that KitchenAid has not been able to fix in eight months. My advice? Don't purchase this range if you use propane.

I like the range but there are a few things to know. It takes 15 min to preheat to 350 degrees and 21 min to get to 400 degrees. We left the back burner on all night because you cannot see the flame when it is on simmer. I kept feeling heat around the stove area but didnt see a flame, but once I checked out dial, it said simmer. Just something to be aware of.

We purchased this range/oven for our vacation home. We specifically wanted gas and had to have it installed separately. Our area does not have natural gas so we purchased an LP conversion kit to accommodate for propane. Since we installed this, it has been a disappointment. The level of flame is very high, and cannot be adjusted. There seems to be no actual control in level and intensity of flame on all the burners. The simmer burner doesn't exist and when turned down just seems to sputter. I am so disappointed, and the company we bought it from refuses to help us without charging for a "repair". I'd love to know why one needs repair work on something brand new? We have used a gas range with LP gas for 20 years in our main home, and this does not at all perform the same way. I'm just wondering if anyone else has issues and if KitchenAid would respond with some sort of suggestion. Overall, I now regret our decision to go this way. On a positive note the oven seems to work fine.

Oven is so spacious. The baking drawer is amazing and so versatile. You can cook a pizza in it or simply use it as a warming drawer. What a bonus bonus. The design of the burners on the cooktop make it feel like a much larger unit.
